n8n Google Drive File Ingestion Production Workflow Pack

Stop wrestling with broken Google Drive ingestion. Start running n8n workflows that never mysteriously fail.

You're tired of n8n choking on Google Drive files. You hit API quota errors you can’t reproduce, MIME types that don't match reality, duplicated triggers that fire twice, or folders that recurse into oblivion. You spend more time debugging ingestion than building the actual automation.

This pack gives you a complete, production‑ready Google Drive file ingestion system for n8n. You get 9 battle-tested workflows, 14 modular sub‑workflows, and 11 helper functions that ingest, validate, dedupe, sanitize, and queue files safely. Every workflow is annotated with clear WHY notes so you always understand each decision and can adapt it with confidence.

What's Included:
- Primary Ingestion Workflow: Handles new file detection, metadata extraction, and validation.
- Rate‑Limit Shield Module: 4-node cluster that auto‑throttles to avoid Google API 403s.
- MIME Verification Pipeline: 6 checks preventing spoofed or unsafe file types.
- Hash‑Based Deduplication Flow: Prevents double ingestion from Drive’s duplicate event behavior.
- Safe Recursion Engine: Depth‑controlled traversal that avoids infinite loops and n8n timeouts.
- Oversize Protection Guard: Rejects files beyond safe limits before processing begins.
- Metadata Sanitizer: Normalizes and cleans 18 common metadata fields.
- Batch Queue Processor: Smooths throughput to prevent memory spikes on bulk uploads.
- Alerting & Monitoring Pack: Slack/Email error notifications with context‑rich logs.

This system comes from building and maintaining high‑volume n8n ingestion pipelines for teams processing thousands of Google Drive files per day, where a single bad file could break the entire workflow. These are the exact patterns refined through real production failures, tight quotas, and unpredictable Drive behavior.

Who This Is For:
- Developers who need reliable, automated Google Drive ingestion in n8n.
- Teams migrating manual Drive workflows into stable, monitored pipelines.
- Freelancers delivering production‑grade n8n setups to clients and need proven patterns.

Who This Is NOT For:
- People looking for a basic tutorial on n8n.
- Anyone who only processes a handful of files per month.
