About Image to PDF Converter

Combining multiple images into a single PDF is a daily task for anyone dealing with scanned documents, receipts, screenshots, or photo sets that need to be shared as one file. This tool embeds each image directly into a PDF page using pdf-lib, running entirely in your browser with zero server contact.

How It Works

Images are read via the browser FileReader API into ArrayBuffers. jpg/jpeg files are embedded using PDFDocument.embedJpg(); PNG and WebP files are re-encoded through a canvas element to produce a JPEG buffer before embedding.

Page dimensions are set per your choice: A4 uses the ISO 216 standard (595 × 842 PDF units), Letter uses 612 × 792, and fit-to-image calculates page size from the image's natural pixel width and height, preserving its exact aspect ratio at 72 DPI. Images are scaled to fill the page while maintaining aspect ratio using a "contain" fit. The finished PDF is serialised as a Uint8Array and offered as a download via a temporary object URL.
