The tip amount is calculated as: Tip = Bill Amount × (Tip Percentage ÷ 100). The total is then: Total = Bill Amount + Tip. When the number of people is greater than 1, the per-person share is: Per Person = Total ÷ Number of People, rounded to two decimal places.

15% is the traditional minimum for adequate service. 18–20% is standard for good service. 25%+ is for exceptional service. For takeout, 10–15% is common. For delivery, 15–20% depending on distance.
