About YouTube Video Analytics

Raw view count doesn’t tell you much on its own — a five-year-old video with ten million views may be growing slower than a month-old one with fifty thousand. This tool pulls a YouTube video’s public stats (views, length, publish date, tags, category) and derives a views-per-day momentum figure, so you can size up a video honestly in seconds.

How It Works

You paste a link; the tool extracts the video ID and calls our /api/youtube/inspect endpoint, which fetches the public watch page server-side (no API key, no CORS problem) and returns the videoDetails and microformat fields. It reads viewCount, lengthSeconds, publishDate, category and the keywords array.

The client formats large numbers (K/M/B), converts the length to h:mm:ss, computes age in days from the publish date, and divides views by age to get views-per-day. Everything is shown as stat cards alongside the title, channel link and thumbnail.

Like and comment counts are deliberately left out because YouTube no longer surfaces them reliably on the public page — the tool reports only what it can read accurately rather than inventing engagement numbers.

Who Is This For

A creator benchmarking a competitor’s video momentum with views-per-day rather than raw views.

A researcher quickly noting length, age and category across a shortlist of videos.

A marketer checking whether an older “viral” video is still growing or has plateaued.

An editor pulling a video’s tags and stats into a content brief.

Frequently Asked Questions

Paste the video URL and press Analyze. The tool reads the public page and shows view count, duration, publish date, a views-per-day rate, tag count and category.
YouTube no longer exposes reliable like or comment counts on the public page without the official API. Rather than guess, this tool shows only the numbers it can read accurately: views, length, age and tags.
It’s total views divided by the number of days since publishing — a fairer momentum measure than raw views, since an old video naturally accumulates more. Use it to compare how quickly videos of different ages are growing.
Completely free, no signup and no API key. Our server reads the public watch page for you.
