Pay is normalised to an hourly rate using 52 weeks a year and your stated hours per week, so unpaid overtime correctly makes everything more expensive. Daily pay is divided by hours per day (hours per week ÷ days per week). Hourly pay is used as-is.
The item price is divided by the hourly rate to get hours; hours ÷ hours-per-day gives work days; hours ÷ hours-per-week gives work weeks. The plain-English label switches unit automatically: minutes under an hour, hours and minutes under a day, work days under ten, then work weeks and months.
The personal price list runs the same calculation for every preset so you can see, for example, that a year of Netflix costs more hours than the game itself.
