3 free invoices remaining this month
Generating a legally compliant GST invoice involves more than filling in a few fields — it requires correct CGST/SGST/IGST split based on the buyer-seller state relationship, accurate HSN code assignment, and proper sequential invoice numbering. Built for Indian freelancers, agencies, and small businesses under the GST Act 2017, this tool handles the tax split automatically so you can issue audit-ready invoices in under a minute.
When you enter the seller and buyer states, the tool detects whether the transaction is intra-state (same state) or inter-state. For intra-state supplies, GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. For inter-state supplies — including exports — IGST at the full rate applies. Tax rates are auto-populated from the HSN code database; you can also enter a custom rate.
Line items are totalled, tax is calculated per line, and the invoice footer shows CGST, SGST (or IGST), total taxable value, and invoice total. The amount-in-words field is generated automatically using the Indian numbering convention (lakhs and crores).
PDF generation happens entirely in your browser using a print-optimised layout that matches the GST invoice format prescribed under Rule 46 of the CGST Rules 2017.
A Bengaluru-based web agency raising an invoice for a client in Delhi — IGST applies at the full rate, not CGST/SGST split.
A freelance consultant billing a Mumbai client from their Mumbai GSTIN — CGST and SGST each at 9% for an 18% service.
A small retailer creating multiple product-line invoices with different HSN codes and mixed GST slabs on a single document.
A bootstrapped SaaS founder who cannot afford accounting software generating their first 3 invoices under the free plan.
Scope note: Generates standard B2B and B2C tax invoices under the GST Act 2017. Does not support e-invoicing (IRP JSON generation for businesses with turnover above Rs 5 crore) or e-way bill creation. Reverse charge mechanism (RCM) must be manually annotated. Always verify HSN codes and tax rates with a tax professional before large-value invoices.
